Dr. Ole Tietz. PhD

 Dr Tietz is a Group Leader at the Dementia Research Centre at Macquarie University. He has over 15 years of experience in drug discovery and development for indications in Neurosciences and Oncology. He brings internationally renowned expertise in the development of novel therapeutics to SynaptraBIO. Dr Tietz trained in Chemistry at Imperial College, London, UK and at the University of Alberta, Canada, followed by research fellowships at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, UK.

 Dr van Eersel is a Group Leader at the Dementia Research Centre at Macquarie University. She has over 15 year experience with studying the biological mechanisms of dementia and developing new therapeutic to target these. She brings extensive experience in preclinical drug testing across various models to SynaptraBIO. Dr van Eersel trained in Neuroscience at the University of Sydney, followed by research fellowships at the Universities of NSW and Macquarie.

 Prof Ittner is the Director of the Dementia Research Centre at Macquarie University. He has over two decades of experience in neuroscience research with a focus on fundamental disease mechanisms and drug development in Alzheimer’s disease and related brain conditions. He brings a deep understanding of the scientific field and translational experience in Biotech to SynaptraBIO. Prof Ittner trained in medicine in Germany and Switzerland followed by postgraduate training in biochemistry and biology at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
